How I explain where I live – as a nomad

Enjoy my short and sweet explanation to some very common questions..

Do you consider yourself a nomad and have you been asked these questions time and time again –

But where do you live?

What town do you live in?

Where does your mail go?

Where do you sleep at night?

What city are you from?

Where is home for you?

Where do you come from?

It’s a tricky one to explain. People want answers, you must exist somewhere. Nomads are rare in the grand scheme of things, but it is becoming ever more popular to live a life on the road.

What is a nomad exactly? A nomad is a wandering person, a drifter, a person who does not settle in one place, but moves through many places.

Here are some of my answers to the nomad lifestyle questions:

I live no where and everywhere.

I live in my heart and my heart lives many places.

Right now, I live here (the place I’m having the conversation).

I live on the road.

I am most comfortable when I am moving, so movement is where I live.

I will also go into depth, explaining to people where I was born, that I move around A LOT for work, and that I don’t really live anywhere for very long.

How do you answer these questions? Let me know in the comments!
